The Pi has no battery clock. If it loses Wi-Fi it freezes on the last date it knew. Reconnect it and the clock fixes itself in a minute or two.
On a Pi Zero 2 W the network must be 2.4GHz — it cannot see 5GHz at all. Check that before anything else.
Check the calendar link is the full .ics URL and hasn't expired. Failing that, upload your roster PDF instead.
