You can contact us at support@xpdr.aero.
You are buying a licence to use the Ident software, together with the build documentation and email support. You are not buying hardware. The Raspberry Pi, the display and the other parts are bought by you, from suppliers of your choosing, and are covered by those suppliers' own terms and warranties, not ours.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Ident on displays you own, for as many of your own devices as you like. You may modify it for your own use. You may not resell it, redistribute it as your own, or sell devices with it pre-installed without our written agreement.
Ident depends on things outside our control: your airline publishing a roster feed we can read, your home network, and — if you enable them — third-party flight-tracking and mapping services. We cannot guarantee those will remain available or unchanged. Notably:
Updates are published from time to time and your device can install them. We don't promise a particular update schedule, or that Ident will be maintained indefinitely.
Support is by email, provided by a working pilot, and is offered on a reasonable-endeavours basis. We aim to reply within two working days. There is no guaranteed response time.
Ident is not a flight-planning, operational or safety tool, and must not be used as one. It is a convenience display. Always rely on your airline's official roster and crewing systems for anything that matters. You are responsible for reporting for duty at the correct time.
We are liable for losses you suffer as a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for missed duties, missed flights, disciplinary consequences, lost earnings, or any business loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your own country's courts.

Your roster never reaches us. Ident fetches it from your airline, over your own internet connection, and stores it on your own device. We do not receive it, cannot see it, and operate no service that holds it. There is no account to create and the software sends us no analytics or telemetry.
Your display makes outbound connections only to: your roster feed; optionally a
flight-tracking service and Google Maps, if you supply keys for them;
licence.xpdr.aero, our licence server, once at setup to activate your licence
and once a day to check for a software update — those requests carry your licence and
your device's serial number, and nothing else; and once, on first run, to download coastline
data for the map styles.
Only what you give us directly:
We use this only to fulfil your order and answer you. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@xpdr.aero. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Your roster may be confidential to your airline. Because Ident keeps it on your own hardware this is a far simpler position than a cloud service — but checking your employer's data and IT policies is your responsibility, not ours.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The control panel on your own device uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in, which never leaves your network.

For digital products bought online you normally have 14 days to cancel. Because Ident is delivered immediately, you'll be asked at checkout to agree that delivery starts straight away and to acknowledge that this ends your automatic right to cancel once download begins. That is the legal position — but see below, because we don't intend to hide behind it.
If Ident doesn't work for you, tell us and we'll refund you. In particular:
We'd rather you were happy than keep £19.99 from someone who isn't.
Hardware you bought from someone else. If a Raspberry Pi or a display arrives faulty, that's a matter for the supplier you bought it from — though we'll happily help you work out what's wrong.
Email support@xpdr.aero with your order details and a line about what went wrong. Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within five working days of us agreeing.
